Relay For Life
American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life was held in Rochester Hills on June 20, 2015. This life-changing event gives everyone in the community a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease. There is so much emotion at this event. There were tears of sadness, tears of joy and tears of hope! This year, many groups, families and individual survivors joined together at Hart Middle School for this incredible event. The Linda Rea Team was a proud sponsor of the Relay For Life and was happy to walk laps around the track in honor of all those who have been affected by cancer. The Linda Rea Team believes it is so important to help one another and give back to the community especially for this extremely important cause! This community fundraiser consisted of teams of people who took turns walking around the track at Hart Middle School. Many groups decorated their booths along the track to cheer walkers on and to raise money by selling food, candy, hat rentals, clothes, capes and lots of great items. All to raise even more money for Relay For Life. At this year’s event, over 486 people participated to raise over $120,000!
