Neighborhood House | Back 2 School Blast Off

This upcoming school year will be an exciting year for school age children and their parents. The previous academic school year contained many challenges due to Covid-19. Neighborhood House is looking forward to holding our annual back-to-school event. Wearing new clothes and carrying a backpack filled with new school supplies helps set an exciting tone as children head off to school. Unfortunately, for many low-income families in our community, the start of the new school year is filled with stress due to economic issues.

Linda and team will be collecting items and the goal is to fill her SUV to the brim with supplies and clothes for the students! Can you help? Call 248-709-3786 for more information!

Neighborhood House is once again collaborating with Assistance League of SE Michigan and Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital to help local children ages 4-18 start the school year ready to learn and succeed. Last year over 450 children participated in this school event.

This year’s Blast Off 2 School will be held August 14th. School age children will receive school supplies, backpacks, school clothing and hygiene kits. The event is free to Neighborhood House clients and local families living in Auburn Hills, Rochester, Rochester Hills, Oakland Township, Addison Township and Leonard who qualify for Medicaid or Free and Reduced Lunch Programs.
